1989 Mazda 626 GD LX

9 posts in this topic

Sup there I want to share my humble Mazda 626 GD powered by 2.0 engine with carb and LPG system. Car looks decent, not too much signs of rust, cool wheels, poor interior but in good shape, steering wheel is a little bit fancy LOL. What I want to do with car? Its my spare car, 1st car - my Toyota Carina E, I want to restore it and for that time need something to drive but I feel that Mazda will stay with me for longer time than I think ( yeah Im now sick since I saw digital speedo and OEM steering wheels).

Oh that's right! It's the 2.0 carb. I don't think I've ever seen that engine. Could you take an underhood shot when you're able to?

Little update:

- rear shocks changed

- front brake discs and pads

- mot

- "new" tires from my other Toyota, dot 2014, still better than old 2007 in mazda.

Car runs good and almost smooth, there is a problem with work when engine is cold and running on gasoline, choking, shaking at low rpm, and I noticed little leak from gearbox.

Have you any ideas what steering wheel I could put in my Mazda?
