Zepticon 274
As topic says. I might get a good deal on one of those and since my old wheel looks arse it would be a good swap. Have anyone tried it?
djdevon3 828
I don't know but I have plenty of pictures of our steering wheel if that will help you match things up. http://www.mazda626....post__p__313636 I still haven't had it installed. If you want it I'll sell it to you. If not I will install it eventually. If the RX-7 bolt holes match up then you should be good. You might not get a functioning airbag though I don't know enough about the RX-7 airbag system.
MonoxideChild 206
it will physically fit. but the part that shuts off the blinker might not work once you swap it. but even that would just be a little modding to work. but the steering wheel will def bolt on. What are your sources? Have you tried it yourself or have you seen it done before?
PrinceValorum 303
the part that shuts off the blinker might not work The clock spring? My buddy's Sparco wheel didn't work with his, either.
djdevon3 828
I saw a couple kits that include a hub adapter on ebay. I was thinking of the difference between 5 bolts and 3 of the RX-7 for the air bag and buttons for cruise control. As long as the sprocket is the same size it should be good which you can confirm probably by finding a good image of a stock RX7 steering wheel. I have a pretty good image of the 626 and if not I can certainly take one with measurements. That stuff will probably be in the factory manual somewhere. You're best bet is to go onto the RX7 forums and ask for some images and/or measurements.
MonoxideChild 206
ive ran a FC steering wheel in 3 of my past mazdas and probes, including my last probe. and i know for a fact the FC and FD steering wheels interchange. thats ho i know it will bolt on without a doubt. i still even own the FC wheel and have it in my garage. the clock spring is the one issue. on my car, i just got used to manually shutting off my blinker. but other's have figured out a way to fix it and make it work. they just had to mod the clock spring. PrinceValorum 303
I couldn't believe my friend got an M-tech steering wheel with his 700$ E28 parts car. The wheel looks about brand new, and there were new ones on ebay selling for 1500$... wtf
