New Rotors And Brake Pads

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

A few weeks ago I replaced my front rotors and brake pads since the previous rotors were worn down quite considerably. With the new rotors (from NAPA) and new brake pads (Autozone) installed, I was quite disappointed that when I now brake to a stop or slow down it is very jerky or pulsating, much like when a rotor is warped. However, I do not feel any vibration in the steering wheel or any pulsations in the brake pedal that would indicate a warped rotor. My old rotors and pads did not have any of these problems and I had these rotors for almost 150,000 miles. You would expect a smooth process of slowing down considering these are quite new. I don't think I purchased warped rotors to begin with. My brake fluid level is where it should be and I also recently bled the brake fluid.

Any suggestions regarding this problem? Thanks in advance.

Bro
