Replace Starter On A 2000?

1 post in this topic

My sister is actually the owner of the 626. Its an I4 Automatic. My dad came to the conclusion that the starter needed to be replaced, so I looked through the Haynes manual. It briefly mentioned removing the airbox and it showed a pic from under the car.

Basically I am asking if there is an easier way to replace the starter.

I removed the airbox only to find the starter behind a bunch of coolant hoses. Today I removed the throttle body, broke the gasket, and poured coolant from the TB hoses all over the garage floor. I'm hoping I didnt drop gasket material in the intake manifold. I'm about to drain the coolant and remove the hoses next....Am I going about this the right way or am I just complicating things?

Thanks all.
