So I bought a 94 Mazda 2.0L 4 dr. I Work at a mechanic shop, But Im still learning and im really not that good, i just do basic maintenance. But im hoping this will make me better, I really want to deck this car out and make it faster then it ever was. It has alot of miles on it. It does run good already, just have to fix the catalytic converter. Witch im doing in about 2 weeks. This is going to be like a 6 month project. I do PLAN on spending way more then what the car is worth. It's to help me learn. But i want to know different things i could do to increase how fast it will go and how fast it will get there. So far I have only done the basic stuff. and even not all of that. I did a oil change with mobile 1 full synthetic' Replaces the fuel filter Replaced Oil Filter took the acceleration cable off and cleaned everything. Replaced a couple hoses. replaces spark plugs/Wires Replaced the valve cover gasket Did a Complete fuel system cleaner. What all can I do to make this thing quick and reliable and LEGAL I also do plan on putting a K&N Air filter on it, but they didn't have any in stock. Im looking to spend 2500-3000 On it over the next few months
Hi I would like to know what can be possible cause of my Mazda 626 not having take off speed, I change the following and still no change: Fuel pump, Air Filter, Gas Filter, Air Sensor. I'm sure if the acceleration sensor might be the one giving trouble. If it's the acceleration sensor will it not have take off speed?
Can someone link me to a site that would sell aftermarket headers for my Mazda. Ive looked around for a while and cant find much. I have a 1998 Mazda 626 I4 2.0 manual. I just want to add a little kick to the car. Ive done a resonator delete, glasspack, new plugs and wires. New clutch. Short ram intake. Any other suggestions to do to my Mazda?
