  1. So, the seal or gasket, whichever you prefer, that sits between the distributor cap and the rim of the distributor housing, and helps keep water out of the internals, crumbled to dust on my 93 ES. So I pulled the distributor on my parts car, which is a 94 ES, and that one crumbled as well while trying to remove it. I can't seem to find a part number or reference to this other than it being on this one diagram, but not numbered like the distributor, cap, rotor and base O-ring. Anybody have any idea what the correct nomenclature is for this part and if this is something that might still be avail
  2. 1996 mazda 626 2.5L - So as I was driving down the road this afternoon and came to a stop, I noticed a mild rough idle/misfire in my car. I was kinda infuriated with my car with one problem after another. I just fixed my last misfiring problem (#4 bad fuel injector) a month ago and now I have a misfire again? I kept my fuel injector box/receipt for a month until I just threw it out LAST night in the dumpster(gone) because I thought it should be doing fine after all this time and doubted that a new injector would go bad anyways. What a coincidence that a rough idle/misfire happens the next da
  3. Help! Not a clue what I'm doing but for the money I thought I'd give it a shot. Here's the deal: aquired an 88 626 non turbo 2.2 standard for free. The owner said a spark plug piece broke off and fell on top of piston #3. Didn't bother to question him, he seemed like he knew what he was talking about and whatever, the car was free. I hauled it away and called around to find a new engine. Found an engine from a scrapyard that's a 1991 626 non turbo 2.2 but it's an automatic. I pulled the engine from the 88, swapped the clutch plate with the flywheel from the automatic and all that jazz, bolt
  4. Greetings everyone, Hope your Thanksgivings were good. I spent my Saturday doing Preventive maintence on my 626. It took me Saturday from about 6pm to 4am sunday. Then ran into a gasket issue that morning. All day sunday was spent diagnosing and fixing the problem. Never cleaned a TB before, heck never knew I needed to do it until now. I wasn't able to pull apart my IAC. Everything seems to be working fine. Here's the story. Pulled the elbow off and found that the intake elbow had a small split down the top. You can see inside the intake manifold after taking off the TB. You can see
  5. I am in the middle of pulling a 2000 Cylinder Head from a 626, will this fit up to my 1997 626?
  6. Transmission fluid appears to be percolating at the top of the pan thru the overflow valve. Why is this happening? My fluid level is not high. if anything it is low. Dipstick says check fluid in park, idle and hot. Is there a way to stop this leak.
  7. anyone know any suppliers of headers, or full exhaust system for a 1978-82 626?
  8. I pulled out all of my plug wires the other day, just for shits and gigs. Well good thing i did, because oil came dripping off of one! What is the problem here.
