My name is Stefan from Denmark and i have only driven Mazda 626. my first car i bought in 1999 was the Mazda 626 lx 1986 and 1987. in 2001 i bought the GD model from 1991. and the last car i have now i bought in 2007. Mazda 626 GF 1998 sedan. that is on the way to be restorated completely. im stil not finish yet.
in 2015 i started to sandblast 80 procent of the buttom of the car and went for the car sementery to see where this model has its weakness of rust,
i sandblasted and metallised all the weaknesses and later paintet it. all the engien compartment has also been through he same thing.i changed the engien becourse i was stupid to blast the engien block for rust in the front, i didnt know the block was so rusty that it was rustet trough the whole block. so now i have put and 1999 engien in instead. everytime i changed spareparts i sandblasted and metallised and painted it. im close to have a brand new car again. first engien have driven 325.000 km before the accident. the new engien has driven 159.000 km in 2015, and today the km is 237.000. i found a car with a engien in i took out and took it home and starting to disassemple a lot of things, so i can sandblast and metallise and paint it so my engien can be more beutiful to look at, and my plan is to dis assemple both engiens and built one where the car cannot rust. but i need some advices from u all what i can do with the engien block so i do not stand there with a engien that will rust again so it will leak oil again. so more advices wouldt be great :)
