  1. Guys this topic was spot on this helped me determine all the selonoids are the same as mine is stating low voltage..everything else works diaphragm when vacuum is applied pulls in butterfly flaps open & close
  2. First of all you shouldn't make a Video of Something like this in the Dark very difficult to determine if this is white smoke or it's burning oil ! (Neither is a Cheap Fix) If this is white Smoke as We call it here in America which means it looks more like Steam Coming out of the Tail Pipe ? That's an Indication a (Head Gasket has Blown) ! If this is Oil Burning Smoke (which you can tell the difference) Between the two then that's an Indication Piston Rings are Worn & Allowing Oil to Slip past the Piston & Enter the Combustion Chamber Burning on the Power Stroke & Exiting on the Exhaust Stroke.... This is no Cheap Fix Either way if (white smoke) then the Removal of the Head is Required New Head Gasket as well & while the Head is off have it Reworked by a Machine Shop have the Cylinder Head Resurfaced & Reworked Check for a Crack or Cracks or Warped Cylinder Head . If this is Black Smoke (burning oil) then best to Find another Motor to put in it! This requires a(Major Overhaul of the Entire Motor) Pistons have to come out Crankshaft (Everything) Block Reworked New Rings New Main Bearings New Rod Bearings... Allot of $.............Plus while you have the Bottom Half Torn Down have the Cylinder Head Reworked as well..........
  3. I hint at bad ground my daughter has an 08 6 she would go out go to crank it lights come on go to crank loose all power no nothing. I traced it to a bad ground wire (Negative Battery Cable) cut it off as short as I could. Put on a new one $8.00 at auto parts store & sanded a place on the body for a good ground she's had no trouble since....... Bad ground will make that alarm go nuts at times try negative cable first............. So my opinion is with NickR (Bad Ground)
  4. I appreciate the post I recently purchased an 01 626 from an Independent Dealer. Stumbled on the Car by Accident on way home from work a route I usually don't take but was detoured, had 116k & looked like it had just rolled off the show room floor asking 2650. Bought it for 2300.I've been extremely worried about the Timing belt, has a great service record info from (mycarfax.com)has everything ever done to the car but nothing on a timing belt change. No real answer as to close Interference Engine or not needless to say Ive been saving to get a timing kit not a DIY on this a little beyond my scope of fixing them but this info made me do a little dance. it's a great car still gets 27mpg shifts great (Except when its cold 1st to 2nd will snap your head back) runs great no problems scared to death that belt would snap before I had everything saved up & the Engine would be done for............ Thanks Again. PS: From what I've Read the people got rid of the Car shortly after the rattle in the trunk came about had rear struts replace a month later it was traded needless to say this Mazda forum helped me solve the problem w/rear sway bar bushings...........
