  1. welcome!!!
  2. such an exciting ride, getting the car running nicely, all new exhaust, completely new intake system, moving along to completely new front strut assemblies and alignment.... no bad idle, beautiful sounding exhaust, and no more clunking or squeaking in the front end.... ahhhh then to realize i may may need new motor mounts. No biggie, right? thats what i thought.... i've been working 7 days a week lately so i ran to merlin and forked over $50 for inspection and oil change. i made a mention of the issue and apparently the lurching is because i need to change the motor mounts, but the old one can't be taken off because its rusted all the way through in that area and i totally didnt see this until i was shown.... so... ANYONE SELLING A 626 THAT"S NOT RUSTED TO HELL, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RESPOND.

  4. So i threw on the ebay headers and downpipe and for whatever reason, the downpipe doesnt rest in the center to be able to connect to my magnaflow 23700 catalytic converter. friggin lame.... so was wondering if there was any ideas what the heck is going on, otherwise i'm just gonna try a test pipe in the space alotted. I'm willin to sell the catalytic converter for $100 brand new, no gaskets.... i just gotta get this car on the road.
  5. thanks for your response, how was ease of install btw?
  6. So, i've come to a crossroads on choosing a catback for my 97 mazda 626 lx. There's the obvious Trubends version, but i found one for $100 cheaper that is for a 93-97 probe made by obx. Does anyone have experience with this companies products, and also is there a major difference in dimensions from the 626 to the probe of the time period? here is the link for both. http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com/products/93-97-mazda-626-exhaust-with-magnaflow-2-25-inch.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Exhaust-System-Cat-Back-93-97-Ford-Probe-2-0L-NEW-/151827914492
  7. I had the exact same thing. turns out my spring was broken.. i don't see how the spring being broken would affect the tire unless your alignment or camber is way off. Maybe your strut is lose and moving around too?
  8. Changed my egr since it was caked closed with carbon and ran some seafoam through the intake manifold and haven't had the problem since.
  9. Go figure that there is no super crazy, fix to this problem... I literally wiggled a couple of the fuses under the hood and she fired right up....
  10. well, since the topic is up, is there removal instructions i can be linked to?
  11. So, my my car was running rough so I decided to cleanup my airways. I took everything off from the duct to the intake manifold, cleaned everything, replaced the egr, reconnected the throttle body hoses, filtering and duct. After doing all this I realized that I forgot to Mark the Tps before I removed it. Is this the reason it won't start? If so, how can I adjust it? Please help, I'm freaking out. I can give any more info if needed.
  12. you know, it's crazy i have the same problem.Mine seperated in the same exact spot and the clamp from the duct rusted to hell and needs replacing. This must be a common issue to keep a note of. I have searched for a new one and the cheapest i found is $42; and mainly because the part was discontinued by mazda. (lol. i wonder why....) here's the link http://www.oemautopartsandaccessories.com/catalog/parts/view/n/tube-fs0113202b/v/mazda-mx-6-1996/vtec/181733/pid/4781773992e26d17/
  13. is this the same for 1997 lx l4?
  14. Awesome to hear, unfortunately those will be the two things I'm not trying to replace until absolutely needed. As it sits now, I have a broken coil spring and a blown flexible. So I'm gonna start with those for now.
  15. I've been having the same lag and loudness from a stop; but then again my flexpipe is also obliterated. With all the searching I've done it's seems to narrow done to either backpressure or a carbon issue. Considering that i'm replacing all exhaust and components from manifold back including the egr and 02 sensors. I will let you know if it cures the "screaming" as i call it.
