  1. I fixed the skip from a while back. Turned out to be a loose wire on my dizzy. Now all the sudden this morning my car suddenly shut down while driving. Car would not restart right away. I had to turn the ignition off and wait a few minutes to try starting the car. Then it died again while backing out of a parking spot. Waited a few minutes then tried starting the car again only to have it die again while driving. I noticed the engine would shut down at around 4200rpms. Even with the car in gear trying to get the engine to start as u would if u can a dead battery the car still would not start a

  3. Hey how do you replace the brain of the distributor? I've been looking at mine and it seems possible but I am not sure. I just don't want to mess with the timing if possible.
  4. Hey I have been out of town as my grandmother was not doing well. Update wise on the car tho. My mechanic replaced the maf sensor witch fixed the check engine light but the car is still skipping. It mainly begins to do this after it begins to warm up. Im thinking it is most likely the distributor at this point. How do I replace it myself and where can I get one thats not 3-400 dollars?
  5. I'll see about ordering a manual for my car since the local parts store doesn't have them. Is there possibly a how to somewhere on how to pull the codes? The only one I was able to find said it was for the v6 not the i4
  6. Was told there was no way to pull the codes with out a stupidly expensive obd1 reader. So I'm not sure what the code is. The shop sure didn't do it. Do I have to re-time the engine to replace the distributor? Im guessing that the answer is yes if so I'll find a better shop to do it as I don't know what I'm doing in timing a dual cam.
  7. Hey y'all I gotta issue I'm hoping y'all may be able to help me with. I've had my car in the shop 4 different times for the same problem. Every time there's been a new bill for something else that they fix that supposedly fixed to skip and within about a week or two of me getting my car back it's skipping badly. How to give some backstory on the car I bought it from a friend of mine it had 141000 miles on it. I have put 3465miles on the car myself. I have replaced the entire air intake ($120 from the dealer) as well as the air filter fuel, filter, spark plugs and plug wires and distributor cap
  8. Also what do I need to do to fix my camber?
  9. I just bought a 626 and have read that Ford Probe lowering springs drop our 626 and inch lower then stated for the Probe. I'm looking at using the 2inch drop springs from the Probe to drop my 626 3inches. I'm running 240sx wheels with a 25mm spacer on all four wheels. Will I be able to drop 3inches and if so what do I need to do to get my wheels to tuck into my fender?
