  1. Wow you managed to find one! I'm in the UK, probably the nerdyest when it comes to GC 626's What are you doing with the vehicle? Do you still have it?
  2. Nice Rebuild. I like the read. Judging by the under car picture though I can see i'm lower
  3. Couldn't find anything on there. It has helped to go about fixing my warning chimes though
  4. Have had this problem for a while but only recently it's got worse. Rev gauge stays at 0 and will only move sometimes if I give it a bit of throttle. I know it must pick up a pulse from somewhere but I don't know where exactly. I guess it's going to be as simple as find and clean.
  5. Another update. The problems come back. And now it's constant. Next plan of action is to remove and clean the carb. Is there anywhere where I can buy a gasket kit?
  6. I would of thought I would know. I changed the filter myself aha. Going to keep an eye on this filter. See how much it drags up
  7. The filter was last changed beginning of the year. I know I did a service when the MOT was due. I'm going to keep an eye on this new filter though.
  8. Another quick update. Replaced the fuel filter and I think I found the problem. There were bits in it. Which only means the fuel tank has got nasty bits of metal floating around in there. Now that's going to be a fun one to empty, seal and fit
  9. So a weekend after changing my pump. It's only played up once on the way home where it just died under acceleration again. But since then fine. Going to change the fuel filter today just to be save and see how it runs. Hopefully all will be okay since all my electrical are new so couldn't be them. I did check all my hoses around the carb to and all look okay
  10. I'm going to try the fuel route first. I managed to get a fuel pump so going to replace that today. The old ones been leaking for some time now, maybe it's just gotten worse. I might change the fuel filter while I'm at it and look at the hoses while the air filters off. As for the ignition side, this year it's had new plugs, leads & ignition amplifier so I can't see it being any of those things.
  11. Had this problem for the last couple weeks really. Looked around the forum but haven't found anything the same as this. Last week I was driving and when coming to a stop to idle (Car was warmed up) the car just died, started fine straight away and drove on with no problem. Come Monday night I was driving home and it did it once more, started and was fine (Again was warm). Then Tuesday morning it was doing it every time I stopped. The only way I could keep it from stalling was to drive with the choke pulled right out (Engine Cold). When it warmed up it stopped for about 2 miles then stall
  12. I'm from the UK, Down in the arse end of cornwall. I own a Blue early 1983 626 LX 1.6
